Business Feasibility Assessment for Operation of Flying Cars
Moving Forward Together to Achieve a New Form of Aerial Mobility in the Kansai Region
Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, “Marubeni”), H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “H.I.S.”), Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (hereinafter, “Mizuho Bank”), and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Tokio Marine & Nichido”) have been selected by the Osaka Prefectural, Osaka City, and Hyogo Prefectural authorities to receive a subsidy for their urban flying car*1 business project.
As part of this grant project, following completion of an assessment comprising the following studies,
Marubeni, H.I.S., Mizuho Bank, and Tokio Marine & Nichido will collaborate in the creation of a business
promotion system for the operation of a flying car service.

H.I.S. | Assessment of ticket pricing and sales promotion ideas for flying car service |
Mizuho Bank | Evaluate depreciation expense and ownership costs for flying car aircraft |
Tokio Marine & Nichido | Design Japanese insurance service for flying car aircraft |
By identifying potential routes through this joint assessment, Marubeni, H.I.S., Mizuho Bank, and Tokio Marine & Nichido will work towards the early realization of a new form of aerial mobility in the Kansai region.
*1 Flying cars: An advanced means of aerial mobility, electrically powered and capable of autonomous takeoffs and vertical landings, to facilitate more accessible and convenient air travel.
